This weekend was the fifth annual PVDA (Potomac Valley Dressage Association) Ride For Life. The R4L is a breast cancer benefit show that raises money for Johns Hopkins. It's wonderful event where riders get donations and pledges that benefit Hopkins. The R4L is also a two day USDF (United States Dressage Federation) licensed show. At 9:30pm Octavia had a gorgeous, big colt who we later named Aurelio. "Leo" was 10.2h at a birth and weighed 114pds. Leo was born at Fresh Meadows in Huntingtown, Maryland under the watchful eye of Dr. Linda Molesworth, DVM. To see baby Leo click HERE!

Last weekend Roedown hosted the 2008 Marlborough Hunt Races, it was a rainy day but lots of fun too! I went with friends that had two rail spots and also photographed for some people with children running in the pony races. All of my photos from race day can be seen by clicking HERE!

I've had some computer problems, but images from the Jumper Derby are now uploading and should be totally uploaded tomorrow (Thursday). I will update this page with links to the galleries when they are up. Also, I was only at the event to take some pictures for some friends who were riding, so I was not able to get all riders. I tried to shoot as many people as possible. Again, thank you for waiting and an update will be posted tomorrow.

Glenwood hosted the first of their winter, indoor jumper schooling shows for 2008 last weekend! Pictures from all divisions can be viewed online by clicking HERE. Because of the limited lighting all prices are permanently reduced to 50% of normal cost. If I'm able to photograph another indoor show at Glenwood I will use my flash. However, if you are riding in a class and would prefer me NOT to use the flash just let me know before you start your round and I'll shoot your rounds without flash. Everyone did a fanatasic job and I hope I get the opportunity to shoot an outdoor event at this farm in the future.

The final show in Holly Point's winter hunter series was held this past weekend. I had a prior arrangement in the morning, but came out to shoot the afternoon over fences classes. I have the 2' and up schooling hunter classes as well as the 2'6" and up working hunters. I am a member of the Calvert Chapter of PVDA and I brought my new mare to school at the show. We ended up filling two scratches, but I took some pictures during other people's rides too. As of right now all images from the show are uploaded. One memory card, containing Training 3&4 and some of First Level is missing the lady with the equipment is going to check for the card and we've already walked around the park and couldn't find it. If you saw or might know where the card is please let me know. It's slightly smaller than a matchbook and is in a clear plastic case. Again some friends asked me to come up and while I was there I tried to catch some other rides. Sunday I was riding and the offical photographer was Redline Race Pics. There was no official photographer on Saturday.
